
FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK CONCERT SERIES CONCLUDES WITH
STRING QUARTET OCTOBER 5 AT THE VERVE COFFEE HOUSE
The First Friday Art Walk Concert Series presented by Walla Walla 2020 in cooperation with Tourism Walla Walla will finish its season on October 5, 2007 with a performance by a string quartet
of Walla Walla Symphony members playing light
classics. The event will take place from
5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Verve
Coffee and Art House at the corner of Alder & Spokane streets in Downtown
Walla Walla.
The quartet features violinists Trudy Ostby and Sharon
Thompson, Lyn Ritz, violist, and Ed Dixon, cellist. Thompson is the Symphony’s general manager,
Ostby is the office manager, and Lyn Ritz is concertmaster. Dixon
plays principal cello with the Symphony, teaches cello at Whitman College
and is the conductor of the Whitman Symphony.
The Art Walk Concerts are presented in cooperation with
First Friday Art Walk sponsors. The Art Walk series features
25 local art venues which stay open from 5-8 pm on the First Friday of each month from May through
